Trial Information
Summary: Refractory Partial Seizures
People with refractory partial seizures are asked to participate
in a research study being conducted by NYU School of Medicine.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are between 18 and 80 years old
- Have epilepsy with partial seizures
- Have been treated with at least 2 other anti-epileptic drugs
which have not been successful in controlling your
seizures
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have had a history of alcohol abuse within the past 2
years
- Have had a history of attempted suicide in the past 10
years
- Have need of rescue benzodiazepines more than once a month
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant
during the study
- Have participated in another research study within the last 30
days
