Summary: Pazopanib In Combination With Lapatinib In Adult Patients With Relapsed Malignant Glioma

Purpose: This study is being conducted to
characterize the safety/tolerability of pazopanib and lapatinib
when administered in combination with enzyme-inducing
anticonvulsants in patients with recurrent Grade III or IV
malignant gliomas.

Multi-Center Trials of Pazopanib in Combination With Lapatinib in
Adult Patients With Relapsed Malignant Glioma
Expected Total Enrollment: 105
Study start: August 2006
Eligibility
Ages Eligible for Study: 18 Years and above,
Genders Eligible for Study: Both
Criteria
Inclusion criteria:
- On enzyme inducing anticonvulsants.
- Diagnosis of anaplastic astrocytoma, anaplastic
oligodendroglioma, mixed anaplastic oligoastrocytoma, glioblastoma
multiforme, or gliosarcoma.
- Tumor tissue must be analyzed prior to enrollment.
- Normal bone marrow, liver, kidney and heart function.
Exclusion criteria:
- Severe or uncontrolled medical disease.
- History of heart attack, heart failure, prolonged QTc, blood
clot, or excessive bleeding.
- Require COUMADIN therapy.
- Taking specifically prohibited medications.
