Summary: Moderate to Severe Allergic Asthma
This research study is designed to evaluate the safety,
tolerability and effectiveness of an experimental study drug called
HAE1, an anti immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody (a type of protein
made by the immune system in response to a foreign substance) and
is being tested in this study in adolescents and adults with
moderate to severe allergic asthma with a wide range of serum total
IgE levels.
You may qualify for this study if you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have a history of moderate to severe asthma
You will not qualify for this study if you:
- Are pregnant and/or breast feeding a child
- Have an active lung disease other than asthma or any
significant medical illness
- Have had any treatment with omalizumab and/or beta blocker
medication
- Have a history of drug or alcohol abuse
