Trial Information
Summary: A Phase II Clinical Trial to Evaluate an Experimental Drug for the Treatment of Men with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) and Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO)
Qualified patients will be asked to complete a 12 week treatment
period with 6 clinic visits. Following qualification patients will
be randomized to receive either study drug or placebo. Patients
will be asked to complete study diaries and have urodynamic tests,
general clinical labs tests, and general physicals performed during
the course of the study.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- Males at least 45 years old and meeting diagnostic criteria for
diagnosis of LUTS/BOO
Patient Exclusion Criteria
- Urinary tract infection or chronic inflammation such as
prostititis
- Stone in bladder or ureter
- Previous surgery to bladder neck or prostate
- Diagnosis of carcinoma
