Trial Information

Summary: A 4-Week Phase IIIb Clinical Trial to Evaluate Several Dosage Strengths of the Study Drug in the Treatment of Chronic Prostatitis

Qualified patients will be randomized to one of three treatment regimens of the study drug. There is no placebo arm to this study. Patients will be asked to complete up to a 4 week course of oral medication. There will be 4 study visits and 3 follow up phone calls at 6 weeks, 12 weeks, and 24 weeks.

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • Males age 40 or older
  • Clinical diagnosis and history of chronic prostatitus

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • Prostate carcinoma
  • Need for parenteral therapy for prostatitis.
