Summary: Multicenter Genetic Study of Rolandic Epilepsy
The purpose of the study is to find the genes that cause
Rolandic Epilepsy. Knowing the cause will help to develop new tests
, new treatments and eventually prevention and cure. It is easy to
take part, you only have to answer some medical questions, give a
blood or saliva sample and have an EEG. It can been done via the
phone or by one visit of the study doctor to your home.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- Age of onset 3-12 yrs
- Typical history
- EEG with centrotemporal sharp waves (necessary for diagnosis of
RE)
