Summary: A research study on an investigational medication to treat Premenstrual Syndrome in Teens
Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania Medical
Center are seeking teens ages 15-19 with premenstrual
syndrome to participate in a new medication study. It is hoped that
the medications under investigation will relieve monthly symptoms
of PMS which include water retention, headaches, depression,
anxiety, and severe food cravings.
To participate in the study, a woman must be between 15 and 19
years old and have regular menstrual cycles. Symptoms must be
troublesome premenstrually and abate after the arrival of the
period. No other medications are to be taken during the study.
Qualified volunteers will receive free medications, lab tests,
office visits and parking. Appointments are available in
Philadelphia and Radnor, PA. For more information, please
