General Information

FRAGMIN Injection is indicated for prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to pulmonary embolism:

  • In patients undergoing hip replacement surgery
  • In patients undergoing abdominal surgery who are at risk for thromboembolic complications.

Patients at risk include those who are over 40 years of age, obese, undergoing surgery under general anesthesia lasting longer than 30 minutes, or who have additional risk factors such as malignancy, or a history of deep venous thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.
