and behaviors impacting all players involved in clinical research

Drug Information Association and CenterWatch establish agreement
to deliver clinical research information and educational services
to professionals around the world.
HORSHAM, PA - January 27, 2003 - The Drug Information
Association (DIA), and CenterWatch, a division of Thomson Healthcare
(NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announce a collaborative agreement
to disseminate clinical trials information and resources to
industry professionals worldwide. Through this agreement, DIA
will distribute CenterWatch's award-winning news and information
services to biopharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies
and other pharmaceutical and related healthcare industry professionals.
Ultimately, this collaboration of complementary products, services,
and constituents, will help advance international pharmaceutical
research and development.
DIA is an international organization which annually provides
more than 100 meetings, training courses, and symposia for nearly
30,000 members from the pharmaceutical industry, government
regulatory agencies, academic institutions and contract service
organizations (CSOs). As part of this collaborative agreement,
CenterWatch will provide its publications, training guides,
news reports, clinical research investigator profiles, investigational
drug profiles and career development information to DIA members
in order to assist biopharmaceutical companies and other industry
professionals in more effectively managing and conducting all
aspects of their clinical research studies. In addition, given
its broad publishing reach, CenterWatch will promote DIA membership
to more than 35,000 international clinical research investigators.
This collaborative agreement establishes an ongoing process
for CenterWatch and DIA to jointly deliver, throughout the world,
a more complete continuum of practical and valuable information
for pharmaceutical and research professionals.
"DIA has always had a reputation for providing high quality
educational programs for pharmaceutical industry professionals,"
said Kenneth Getz, President & CEO, CenterWatch. "We
are thoroughly delighted to be not only providing our information
services to DIA members, but to also be raising awareness of
the value of DIA membership among investigative sites."
