The CarePoint Health Research Institute provides a single point of contact for budgets, contracts, regulatory and patient recruitment matters. The organization ensures efficiency with each study through the centralized processing of all aspects of clinical trials, including identifying diligent, well-trained investigators, planning protocol strategies, preparing and submitting regulatory documents, obtaining IRB approval, recruiting, enrolling and retaining study subjects. In each of its research centers, a database is maintained of active and potential investigators so that the research team can match sponsoring agencies’ needs with appropriate physicians, utilizing a swift investigator selection and training process. Additionally, by combining all three hospitals and the private physicians’ practices, the team has a large electronic patient database from which they can enroll an adequate number of study subjects to meet sponsors’ needs. CarePoint Health Research Institute accomplishes sponsor enrollment goals by leveraging their own database searches and mounting local and central advertisement campaigns.
