The Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program of the Emory University School of Medicine has been conducting clinical studies of psychiatric disorders for over 20 years. We are currently conducting studies for the treatment of major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Our studies involve treatment for individuals who have never been treated for these disorders, and for people who have been treated and not responded to other treatments. We investigate medications that are already approved by the Food and Drug Administration as well as medications that are not yet available for prescription. We also conduct studies designed to evaluate the biological disturbances that occur in psychiatric disorders.
Located at the Briarcliff Campus of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, our research facility is staffed with trained clinical researchers and psychiatrists who are on the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine.
