Croft Group Research Center
Our office is centrally located in the medical center of San
Antonio, Texas (population of 1.5 million). Our office building is
attached to a general medical/surgery hospital, Methodist Specialty
& Transplant Hospital, with 3 psychiatric units. Our building
has access to laboratories, general practitioners, and specialty
physicians for physical exams and blood and urine samples. We
conduct outpatient trials only. Our center uses a Central Review
Board. We have an ECG machine, clinical freezing unit, refrigerated
unit, locked study drug storage, and a dedicated Monitor area in
house.
Since 1986 The Croft Group Research Center has participated in

Harry A. Croft, triple Board Certified in Psychiatry, addiction
medicine and sex therapy heads our research staff and acts as
Principle Investigator in all trials. He graduated from University
of Texas Medical Branch in 1973. He did a partial residency in
OB-GYN before completing his psychiatric training.
The Research Center has a staff of 3 full time coordinators and
1 full time assistant coordinator. The 3 coordinators share over 23
years of clinical trial experience and are all active in providing
patient care
Kimberly Howerton is the head Clinical Research Coordinator with
10+ years of experience. She handles administration and financial
aspects of the center, along with advertising.
Sandra Uresti is a Clinical Research Coordinator with 8+ years
of experience. She performs rating scales for the center and also
heads up our recruiting department.
Jill Garcia is a Clinical Research Coordinator with 5+ years of
experience. She handles regulatory for the center.
Elisa Thompson is our assistant coordinator who handles
scheduling.
Our study population to date is as follows:
- Ages 18-65
- 60% female, 40% male
- 10% Hispanic, 85% Caucasian, 3% Black, 2% Other
