Baptist Health Care in Pensacola has built a world class institute for orthopaedics and sports medicine in Northwest Florida, with the leadership and reputation of nationally and internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews, MD. The creation of the Andrews Institute has secured Northwest Florida as a cradle for musculoskeletal treatments and research. The Institute is comprised of several divisions including: Multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center, Outpatient Rehabilitation, Diagnostic Imaging Center, Athletic Performance Center, a Research and Education Institute, and a multispecialty office park for physicians. The Institute is located on property contiguous to the Gulf Breeze Hospital in Gulf Breeze, Santa Rosa County. Gulf Breeze Hospital has the distinction of leading the nation in patient satisfaction for more than nine consecutive years. The Andrews Institute, which has 10 orthopedic and sports medicine specialty physicians along with a Sports Medicine Fellowship, has attracted national and international attention to the area for its superior medical care in orthopaedics and research.

Clinical Research has dedicated research coordinators, regulatory specialists, and lab technicians. The designated clinical research space is more than 4000 square feet and includes a surgical skills laboratory, exam rooms, lockable drug storage, designated monitor spaces, on and off-site records storage, data and internet access, central imaging, and access to EKG, Treadmills, and hospital facilities. As a Multi-Specialty clinical research facility we maintain the highest of standards in ethics, education, and training of all research staff and have oversight by a highly experienced and dedicated hospital IRB.
We have several principal investigators with experience in orthopedic/sports medicine research, internal medicine research, and general and vascular research. Our experienced investigators strive to bring cutting edge therapy to patients to help them live longer, happier, healthier lives. Research Investigators and Clinical Coordinators strive to deliver quality research and data and earn the confidence and trust of our patients. Andrews Research and Education Institute's Research Investigators and staff are committed to providing rapid study start-up, precise project management and accurate data collection, with a primary focus on subject safety.
We have a multi-disciplinary team to include RN's, RRT's, Medical Technologists and Regulatory Specialists.
