Facility Description

Radiant Research, Scottsdale was founded in 1989 and occupies a dedicated 6,000 square foot medical facility in the Memorial Medical Plaza in close proximity to the Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital Osborn Campus. The site is nine miles from Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, AZ.

Investigator Experience

F. Timm McCarty, DO, Principal Investigator, is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. McCarty earned his Doctor of Osteopathy at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and maintains an active private practice. In the past eleven years, he has completed over 190 studies in the following areas: acne, BPH, constipation, diabetes, dysmenorrhea, dyspepsia, gout, headache, healthy, heartburn, herpes-genital, herpes-labialis, hypertension, IBS, incontinence, insomnia, lipids, nocturia, obesity, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, overactive bladder, pain-chronic, pharyngitis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, seborrheic dermatitis, smoking cessation, uterine leiomyomata and vaccines. Joseph Habros, MD, Principal Investigator, is Board Certified in Rheumatology. Dr. Habros received his doctorate of medicine from University of Ottowa in Ontario, Canada. He has a private practice and has conducted over 60 studies in the past ten years. Dr. Habros areas of expertise include the following: dyspepsia, fibromyalgia, gout, IBS, insomnia, lipids, obesity, osteoarthritis, pain-chronic, post herpetic neuralgia, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and vaccines.

Bruce Miller, MD, Principal Investigator, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Miller received his doctorate of medicine from New York Medical College. In the past nine years, Dr. Miller has conducted numerous clinical studies in the areas of: contraception, female sexual dysfunction, endometrial hyperplasia, fibrocystic breast disease, HRT, incontinence, osteoporosis, overactive bladder, PMDD, uterine fibroids and vaginal atrophy.

Albert Tejada, MD, Principal Investigator is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Tejada is a physician at CHW Urgent Care. He has participated in many clinical trials in the following areas: allergic-rhinitis, diabetes, dyspepsia, fibromyalgia, IBS, insomnia, lipids, obesity, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, pain, overactive bladder, peripheral arterial disease, post-herpetic neuralgia and respiratory infections.

Staff Expertise

The center employs five highly qualified clinical research coordinators with a total of over 40 years of combined experience in pharmaceutical research. Two coordinators hold CCRC certifications. Three of these clinical research coordinators are RN’s. The site also has 1 full-time on-site Recruitment Specialist, Phlebotomist, Receptionist, and QA/IRB Coordinator.
