Radiant Research-Atlanta, founded in 1993, is located in one of the ten
most populated metropolitan areas in the United States and has access to
the region’s 4.5 million plus residents. The site occupies a 4,500 square
foot dedicated research facility with four exams rooms, CLIA-waived
laboratory, and locked drug room. The site is conveniently located in
northern Atlanta within the medical district including Northside Hospital,
Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric
Hospital. Radiant Research-Atlanta has long standing relationships with
various outpatient provider services, all located just minutes from the
office. This location offers convenient access for public transportation
and is within blocks of I-285 loop and Georgia Route 400. The site is
approximately 24 miles from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International
Airport.

Sidney Funk, MD, Medical Director, has been conducting clinical trials
since 1990. Dr. Funk is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Obstetrics
and Gynecology and is well-known for his research achievements in the
fields of osteoporosis prevention, female sexual dysfunction, HRT,
contraception, and menopause. Dr. Funk received his medical degree from
the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He has served on several
speaker and discussion panels for Women’s Health issues. Dr. Funk has
completed over 120 clinical trials in the following additional areas:
dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, female sexual dysfunction, fibrocystic breast
disease, herpes-genital, herpes labialis, hot flashes, HRT, incontinence,
obesity, over active bladder, PMS, smoking cessation, uterine leiomyoma,
vaccines and vaginal atrophy.
Martin Throne, MD, Principal Investigator, is Board Certified in Internal
Medicine. He received his medical degree at University of Western Ontario
in Canada. Dr. Throne has conducted over 100 clinical trials with primary
focus on BPH, bronchitis, constipation, diabetes, fibromyalgia, lipids,
GERD, gout, headache-migraine, herpes genital, herpes labialis,
hypertension, IBS, insomnia, obesity, onychomycosis, osteoarthritis, pain,
smoking cessation and vaccines. He published articles in peer-reviewed
journals on Cryopyrin-Associated Periodic Syndromes and Familial Cold
Autoinflammatory Syndrome (FCAS).
