Rainier Clinical Research Center is a privately-owned, independent research clinic for Phase I through IV clinical trials of both drugs and devices. We are located in the greater Seattle area. Since our establishment in 1991, RCRC has successfully conducted several hundred research studies with a primary focus on metabolic disorders such as diabetes, diabetes complications, obesity and lipids. We also partner with other successful Principal Investigators in the areas of Cardiology and Neurology The addition of our Phase I, 10-bed clinic gives us the capability to do early development/Phase I studies requiring extended clinic stays and inpatient visits, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies and insulin-glucose clamp studies. Our three medical directors are board-certified in endocrinology and metabolism and internal medicine. They are on staff at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington, and remain active in private internal medicine and endocrinology practice. Our directors have extensive research experience and training and hold clinical faculty positions at the University of Washington Medical School.
Our mission is to provide an efficient, safe and professional environment for our study participants and accurate, uncompromised quality of data for our study sponsors.
We pride ourselves on our ability to provide quick study start-up and approval and rapid patient enrollment. Over two decades of research experience, we have built up a database of over 10,000 individuals and are continually added new subjects to the database over a wide variety of therapeutic areas.
We have experience conducting Phase I, II, III and IV trials. Over the past 20 years we have conducted close to four hundred studies of pharmaceutical compounds and medical devices.
Our areas of specialty include: Cardiology, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Hypertension, Lipids, Obesity, Neurology and Pain Management.
Our Phase I, 10-bed in-patient clinic allows us to conduct early development studies that require extended clinic stays and inpatient visits.
Rainier Clinical Research Center is located in Renton, Washington, approximately 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown Seattle. Our site has convenient freeway access and plenty of free parking available for our study participants. Our clinic is fully equipped with an inpatient unit for Phase I studies and outpatient clinic for Phase II-IV studies.

Patients who participate in clinical trials at our site come from a variety of sources. The private practice of our Principal Investigators and Sub-Investigators provide many eligible and motivated participants. We also have a research database of several thousand names that we constantly build upon through advertising and patient recruitment activities.
We are located about fifteen minutes south of downtown Seattle and with a surrounding population of over a half million people, we are able to quickly and efficiently enroll eligible patients for studies.
Our directors serve as Principal Investigators for clinical trials in the areas of diabetes, diabetic complications, lipids, hypertension, and obesity. We work with Principal Investigators in other therapeutic areas such as Cardiology and Neurology.
