Center Overview

Palm Beach Research Center is a fully dedicated, modern, spacious, multi-specialty research facility for the purpose of conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials. We are committed to bringing state of the art medical treatment to our patients. We are affiliated with five major area hospitals who have a special interest in research.

Our research staff, made up of Nurses and Certified Clinical Research Coordinators, is....Dedicated to providing Efficient, High Quality, and Timely Clinical Research Trials.

We are located just minutes from Palm Beach International Airport and right off I-95.

Clinical Research Experience

SPECIAL AREAS OF INTEREST:

  • Cardiology: angina, ischemia, hypertension, peripheral vascular disease, dysrhythmia, CHF
  • Dermatology: acne, contact dermatitis, skin cancer, sunburn, actinic keratosis
  • Endocrinology: diabetes, thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity, osteoporosis
  • Gastrointestinal: hiatal hernia, diverticulitis, gastritis, IBS, colitis, hepatitis, erosive esophagitis, PUD
  • Genitourinary: renal calculi, UTI, BPH, impotence
  • Gynecology: menopause, PID, acute and chronic vaginosis, dysmenorrhea, HRT
  • Infectious Diseases: HIV and related complications, antibiotic studies, pharmacokinetic studies
  • Musculoskeletal: skin ulcers, dermatitis, cellulitis, osteoarthritis
  • Neurology: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Alzheimer's Disease, aneurysm, epilepsy (Trigeminal Neuralgia, Atypical, Glassopharyngeal and Postherpetic Neuralgia), facial pain, headaches (Tension, Depression, Cluster, Posttraumatic, Cough, and Migraines), hemorrhage, motor disorder, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, Parkinson's Disease, sleep disorder, stroke, transient ischemic attacks, weakness & paralysis
  • Oncology: anti-emetic studies
  • Ophthalmology: glaucoma, macular degeneration
  • Pain: Chronic, acute, secondary to malignancy
  • Psychiatry: depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, pain management (acute and chronic)
  • Respiratory: COPD, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, reactive air disease, flu
  • Surgery: General and vascular, wound healing, soft tissue infection (simple and complex), antibiotic prophylaxis, graft studies, post-op pain control

Staff Expertise

Our seven full time Clinical Research Coordinators and 4 Research Assistants have experience in both in-patient and out-patient clinical trials. The research coordinators include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, CMAs, and Certified Clinical Research Coordinators. In addition, Palm Beach Research center provides industry related education to its staff on a continual, year round basis. There are separate branches for quality assurance, regulatory compliance, lab processing, and patient screening.

David Scott, MBA, CCRC, the President and CEO, has been a major part of Palm Beach Research Center since 1995. Past President of the Golden Treasure Coast Chapter of ACRP. Speaker at several national industry conferences.

Audrey Haber, Ph.D., A.B.M.P., the CFO, has been a major part of Palm Beach Research Center since 1994, and has co-authored 25 University textbooks in the areas of Statistics & Psychology.

Laurie Jassenoff, MBA, the Vice President of Clinical Affairs, has more than a dozen years of experience at every level in research.

Patient Demographics

Community support remains outstanding and our data base is extensive as it has been growing since 1994. Our dedicated research database is also diverse from our unique geographical area which is comprised of a wide range of age, gender, and ethnic backgrounds. These numbers are still growing as Palm Beach County is one of the fastest growing areas of our country.
