Achieve Clinical Research is a leading provider of clinical trial services to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. As a privately owned, multi-specialty facility, we offer a unique and highly effective investigative site for conducting Phase II-IV Studies, In-Hospital Clinical Trials and Vaccine Studies for a wide range of therapeutic areas. Our advanced clinical research facility is fully-equipped with the latest technologies, yet remains comfortable for our patients and is staffed with an experienced and professional team. We are located within minutes from 2 Major Medical Centers: Brookwood Medical Center and St. Vincent's Hospital.

Our staff of Registered Nurses, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners and Certified Coordinators is credentialed at area hospitals, enabling flawless performance in the execution of your trial.

Highly Effective Recruitment - Recruiting for Surgical and In-Hospital trials is challenging and provides many different demands compared to recruiting for outpatient studies. Utilizing its vast network of physicians, hospitals, outpatient surgical centers and local patient groups, Achieve has developed a highly efficient recruitment model for screening and enrolling quality patients for a variety of inpatient indications. Achieve has successfully used this model to become the leading enrollment site for many global surgical trials.

Therapeutic Expertise - Through its network of physicians ranging from hospitalists to orthopedic surgeons, Achieve offers the diverse study expertise and experience to conduct many types of Surgical and In-Hosptialtrials. Our successful experience includes studies for anticoagulants, orthopedic surgery, surgical and post-operative pain, anesthesia, plastic surgery,medically ill, medical device, surgical procedures, community-acquired pneumonia, and other anti-invectives.

Investigator Experience

HAYES WILLIAMS, MD, PhD - Medical Director
Dr. Williams trained at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport Louisiana and completed his surgical Internship at Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, Al. He has a Master of Science degree in Biology and a Doctorate of Philosophy. Dr. Williams has been in private practice for 31 years. He has been conducting research with Achieve Clinical Research in the capacity of Medical Director and Principal Investigator since 2001.

DAVID DEATKINE, MD
Dr. DeAtkine trained at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed his medical residency at Duke University with a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.

KENNETH JAFFE, MD
Dr. Jaffe trained at the University of Alabama. He completed a surgical residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also holds an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Jaffe is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Internal Medicine.

DAVID MCLAIN, MD
Dr. McLain trained at Tulane University and completed his residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Washington University School of Medicine. He holds Board Certifications in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

CHRISTOPHER RONEY, MD
Dr. Roney trained at the University of Mississippi and completed his medical residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.

FARAH SULTAN, MD
Dr. Sultan trained at University College London Essex in the United Kingdom. She completed her family practice residency at Baylor College of Medicine and her general surgery residency at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Sultan is Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine.

JAMES SOSNOWCHIK, MD
Dr. Sosnowchik trained at Ohio State University. He completed his medical residency at Duke University Medical Center with a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.

Achieve maintains a comprehensive database of over 30,000 clinical research volunteers and has access to potential subjects from our investigators' private practices. Additionally, our staff attends local community health fairs and conducts open house events.

We utilize one of the most innovative and dynamic clinical trials management systems which enable our staff to quickly identify even the most difficult patient populations and carefully track our patients throughout the study.
