Center Overview

In 1999, we founded our Center for Skin Research, and to date our staff with more than 85 years of combined dermatological clinical research experience has conducted over 100 dermatologic clinical studies. We conduct clinical research trials for pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical companies, laser manufacturers, and clinical research organizations (CRO).

Clinical Research Experience

The Center for Skin Research at Suzanne Bruce and Associates has been involved in over 100 phase II, III and IV protocols since 1999. We have researched treatments for a variety of skin conditions including:

Investigator Experience

Suzanne Bruce, MD
Dr. Bruce has been practicing dermatology since 1985. A graduate of Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine, she completed her dermatology residency training at Baylor. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society and Houston Dermatological Society. She is also a member of the Leaders Society of the Dermatology Foundation. Dr. Bruce is a former Vice President of the Texas Dermatological Society and a former President of the Houston Dermatological Society.

Dr. Bruce serves as a consultant and trainer for leading drug, cosmeceutical, and laser companies. She has been recognized by many organizations for excellence, including Texas Monthly (voted a Top Doctor, 2005 - 2010) and Houston Woman Magazine (one of Houston's 50 Most Influential Women - 2009). She currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce.

Brian Murry, Director of Clinical Research
Brian is a Director of Clinical Research for The Center for Skin Research and has been working in research since 2003.

Sandra Nero, CRC
Sandy is a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) for The Center for Skin Research and serves as the regulatory manager for the site. She has been working in dermatology since 1988 and has 27 years of experience in clinical trials research.

Jasmine Leung, BSN-RN, CRC
Jasmine is a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator and the clinical research nurse for The Center for Skin Research. She has worked in dermatology since 1990 and has 17 years of experience in clinical trials research. Jasmine has been a practicing nurse since 1979.

Amy Fletcher, CRC, CCRP
Amy is a Clinical Research Coordinator for The Center for Skin Research. She has worked in dermatology since 2008 and has 8 years of experience in clinical trials research. She has been a Certified Clinical Research Professional since 2007.

Sue Shannon, CRCA
Sue is a Clinical Research Coordinator Assistant for The Center for Skin Research. She has worked in dermatology since 1998 and has 5 years of experience in clinical trials research.

Amanda Herod, CRCA
Amanda is a Clinical Research Coordinator Assistant for The Center for Skin Research. She has worked in dermatology since 2012 and has 5 years of hospital healthcare experience.

Donna Zawada
Donna is the Clinical Research Recruiter for The Center for Skin Research. She has 10 years of experience in research and 5 years in recruitment.

Caroline Gonynor
Caroline is a Clinical Research Recruiter Assistant for The Center for Skin Research.
