Memorial Clinical Research (MCR) is a dedicated clinical research site. The site completes specialty, adult, outpatient clinic trials in Phase II,III, and IV.
The site is dedicated to excellence and has been developed to meet the need for medical and health research intended to produce valuable knowledge for understanding human disease prevention, treatment of illness, and promotion of health.
Our newly built facility is less than a mile away from one of the largest medical center in Oklahoma City, Mercy Health Care Center.
MCR was established in 2006 and has successfully conducted over 35 clinical trials in a variety of different categories.
Dr. Barreto, has been a Primary Investigator from 2003 onwards and has supervised and conducted over 75 Clinical Trials in and around Oklahoma City during that time. Using our EMR we have a database over 3500 active patients that represents a varied demographic area and patients of all ages.
Dr. Barreto an her Clinical Team are committed to following protocol specific procedures for investigational studies for new drugs while maintaining strict ICH and GCP guidelines.

MCR is conveniently located off Memorial Road in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The site has public transportation within walking distance to the facility.
Dr. Angelique Barreto is the principal investigator for our site. She has been involved in over 75 successful clinical trials in the past 13 years. She is board certified in both Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, she has a fellowship in Geriatric medicine as well as a Masters of Science in Health Service Management.
Her clinical trial experience is in: Hypertension, Diabetes II, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Osteoarthritis, Women's Health, Anemia, Chronic Constipation, GERD, Prostate Cancer, Dyspepsia, Depression, and Chronic Pain.
Other interests are in Weight loss and wellness, osteoporosis, COPD, Alzheimer's Disease, Hyperlipidemia, Smoking Cessation, Aesthetics, Urinary Incontinence and Metabolic Syndrome.
In 2011, Dr. Barreto became a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
Memorial Clinical Research has 1 full-time clinical research coordinator, Judy Chestand , who has been a LPN since 1985. She has 4 years experience as a clinical research coordinator. Certified via NIH as having completed her GCP. Certified via Mayo Clinic as having completed her IATA certification for handling and transporting dangerous goods, Judy is currently enrolled in classes at a local college in Oklahoma City for certificate of mastery as a clinical research coordinator.
Michelle Johnston , has been an APRN, CNP since 2008. Michelle, is the sub-investigator on some clinical trials and when needed provides back-up as study coordinator.
Karl Barreto BSC. , handles all of the budgets, contracts and regulatory documents for MCR. Mr. Barreto has been conducting contract negotiations for the past 7 years.
