Center Overview

Holy Cross Hospital has long been recognized as the region’s premier provider of cardiac care. This distinction has been exemplified through our ability to move into the exciting and ever-changing arena of cardiovascular research through the Jim Moran Heart and Vascular Research Institute. Due to the generosity of Jim and Jan Moran and the JM Family Enterprises, Inc., along with the vision of the Sisters of Mercy and the skilled dedication of our Physician Investigators and staff, our Research Institute is poised to contribute significantly to finding innovative ways to manage the damage caused by heart disease-and ceasing the far-reaching damage it inflicts on the lives of those affected in our community. We’re pursuing an advanced scientific and clinical research agenda, enabling Holy Cross Hospital and its physicians to offer patients access to advanced clinical therapies that would otherwise not be available in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida and beyond. Facility Description

Located on North Federal Highway, Holy Cross Hospital is accessible by public transportation, a few miles east of Interstate 95 and a short drive from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The Research Institute conducts studies involving new devices and drug therapies to advance the treatment of heart and vascular disease in our community. New trials are being added constantly
