Our office is an outpatient private facility located in Garden City, NY. Our equipment and capabilities include:

• Trans Rectal Ultrasound
• 12 lead EKG

• Temperature monitored Secure Drug Storage (refrigerated and ambient)

• State of the Art, Electronic Medical Records database that is CCHIT certified with enables us to recruit for potential subjects.

Staff Expertise

Medical Director:

Robert Edelman, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Edelman graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College in 1970. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, NY and served residencies in surgery and in urology at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in the Bronx. He has published several papers on urological research. He has also invented several significant medical products, including the Edelman Catheter.

He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at Stony Brook Medical School and the Chief of Urology at Winthrop University Hospital since October 2010. Dr. Edelman is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Advanced Urology Centers of New York, Garden City Central have 2 full time Clinical Research Coordinators. The staff is experienced in working with Sponsors, CRO’s and the Central IRB to ensure patient safety, accurate data collection, and timely document submission.

The study team has received SAF-T-PAK/IATA Compliance Training and is proficient with Electronic Data Capture. All study staff is GCP, HIPPA, and NIH trained and certified in phlebotomy.

Diane Gerrity, The Director of the Clinical Research Department Clinical Research Coordinator with over 10 years in clinical research experience in urology studies.

Donna Ammirati, CRC Clinical Research Coordinator with over 6 years in clinical research experience in rheumatology and urology studies.
