MCS Clinical Trial, INC. is a dedicated clinical research site conducting Phase I to IV clinical studies for various pharmaceutical companies. MCS Clinical Trial, INC began conducting cardiovascular clinical trials. We now conduct studies on a wide range of conditions including but not limited to: Hypertension, High Cholesterol, COPD, Migraine Headaches, Obesity, Seasonal Flu, Asthma, Depression, Anxiety, Gout, Impotence and others. Our growing patient database (>6,000) allows for quick study enrollment, often exceeding original enrollment goals.
Our office is located in Downtown Los Angeles, CA and less than 30 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport. We offer outpatient services and we are located less than one mile from Good Samaritan Hospital, San Vincent Hospital, and Temple Hospital.

Dr. Carlos H. Montenegro is the Principal Investigator who is a Board Certified Surgeon, graduated from San Carlos Medical School, Guatemala. Dr. Montenegro has been in private practice for the past 20 years and has been successfully conducting clinical trials for the past 4 years; he is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Manuel Franco
Clinical Research Coordinator
Manuel Franco has been conducting onsite QA since 2008 and brings over 11 years of clinical research experience to MCS Clinical trials. Manuel conducts an independent examination of all trial-related activities & documents and ensures that the data generated at MCS Clinical Trials is recorded, analyzed and accurately reported according to protocol, site SOPs and GCP. Also, Manuel has taken part various audits from Sponsors, CROs, IRBs and FDA.
Claudia Cisneros
Clinical Research Coordinator
Claudia Cisneros, MA, AA, has been a Lead Research Coordinator with MCS Clinical Trials since 2008. She has 10 years of research experience. Claudia has coordinated research studies involving: Diabetes Mellitus, Hypercholesterolemia, Hypertension, Obesity, Asthma, COPD, Seasonal FLU, Dry eye, Glaucoma, Cataracts and others, in phase I, II, III AND IV. Her constant interaction with the Investigator assists in keeping the study enrollment, assessment, documentation and correspondence timely to provide the Sponsor with clean, accurate data. Also, Claudia has taken apart various audits from Sponsor, CROs, IRBs and FDA.
Regina Alvarado
Clinical Research Coordinator
Regina Alvarado, MA has been a Clinical Research Coordinator with MCS Clinical Trials since 2008. She has 6 years of research experience. Regina has coordinated studies involving: Diabetes Mellitus, Hypercholesterolemia, Hypertension, Obesity, COPD, Asthma and others, in phase I, II, III, IV. Regina works directly with all patients on study related matters. Regina also provides assistance to the CRO's and other sponsor representatives.
Maria Gonzalez
CRC/Regulatory Specialist
Ms. Gonzalez has been conducting clinical trials for 15 years with emphasis on Cardiology, and Endocrinology. Other areas of experience include, but are not limited to: Nephrology, Respiratory, Ophthalmology, Hemodialysis, Blood disorders, Pediatric Migraine, and Pain management.
Certifications include: M.A, AA Degree. HIPAA, Good Clinical Practice, London Academy, Oracle RDC, CPR Adult and Infant. IATA certified. Clinical Trials conducted so far 220.
All staff are well versed in various eCRF systems.
The patients from Dr. Montenegro's private practice and walk-in clinic range in age from 18 years old to 80 years old. Our diverse patient database is approximately 90% Hispanic, 5% African American, and 5% Caucasian; with an approximate 60%-40% female to male ratio
