We are a privately owned and operated Research Site conducting Phase Ib through Phase IV Clinical Trials in Nassau, The Bahamas. We have successfully enrolled study subjects for Sponsors and CROs from the United States, Canada and South American regions within our five year span of operations. Our team includes US Board Certified Specialist Investigators and dedicated full time US Trained Clinical Trial staff. We are a stand alone, state of the art facility with close proximity to 2 local hospitals one of which is JCAHO accredited. Our facility is conveniently located near the International Airport which provides US Immigration and Customs Clearance for expedited business travel. Our International Airport accommodates frequent flights from the United States with a 30 minute flight time (from south Florida) and non stop flights from various cities within the U.S.
Our demographics include a population of over 375, 000. The ethnicity is 85 % African descent, 3% Asian and Hispanic and 12% Caucasian. The vast majority of The Bahamian population resides in the Capital City, Nassau on the Island of New Providence which is 7 miles by 22 miles. Thus, affording a dense patient population base which also provides convenience for our trial participants.
We also enjoy favorable community attitudes toward Research Trials and have high compliance rates with our enrolled subjects. Our facility is equipped with a laboratory, secure pharmacy, separated secure area for investigational products, private fully equipped and monitored infusion suite, exam rooms, Clinical Office, screening room, monitor room, and large conference room for Site Initiation, Start Up meeting, etc.
We partner with our local JCAHO accredited Hospital for General Imaging, Ultrasound Procedures, Mammography, CT scanning, and MRI scanning. Additionally we also partner with an approved Imaging Site in South Florida for research studies involving PET/CT requirements.
We ensure quick study start up, with ability to utilize dual collaboration between Central IRBs and our Local Ethics Board for expeditious turnaround. We maintain strict adherence to GCPs, ICH regulations, and comply with all applicable Federal and Regional laws. Our SOPs are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
Our Investigators are US board certified in their fields, and together with our US Trained Clinical Trial Staff are well versed in the complexities of conduction of trials, start up through completion.
Our out-patient facility has been designed specifically for Phase Ib through Phase IV Clinical Trials. We utilize the "All In House" Standard for our trials. With this standard we utilize our facility as the Central Base. Physical exams, data management, IP dispensary and most other safety assessments, required for Clinical Trials are done "in house". The exception would be Radiology Images, CTs, MRIs, PETs, some laboratory assessments, and special procedures.
