Medical Research South (www.medicalresearchsouth.com) is a full service Clinical Trial Management Organization dedicated to conducting clinical research on a full-time basis for major Pharmaceutical Company Sponsors and Clinical Research Organizations (CRO’s). Our main facility and corporate headquarters are located in the beautiful and historic city of Charleston, South Carolina.

Since being founded in 2001, Medical Research South has established a reputation for providing a reliable, efficient and professional service to our patients, sponsors and investigators. Medical Research South has successfully completed over 100 clinical research trials and continues to be one of the most trusted trial management centers for most major pharmaceutical companies.

Clinical Research Experience

Medical Research South has over 10 years of experience conducting primarily Phase II - IV research trials across a broad range of indications. Although Medical Research South’s team of physician investigators has successfully completed the highest volume of studies in hypertension (35), Diabetes (35) and COPD (9), our facility also has a depth of experience with: Asthma, Endometriosis, Gout, HPV Vaccine, Hypercholesterolemia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Mixed Dyslipidemia, Obesity/Weight Loss, Oral Contraception, Psoriasis and Smoking Cessation.

Facility Description

Medical Research South presently conducts only outpatient clinical research trials out of its state-of-the-art Charleston, South Carolina facility. Medical Research South is conveniently located just off Interstate 526, less than 10 minutes from the Charleston International Airport, 15 minutes from historic downtown Charleston and less than 1 mile from Bon Secours St. Francis Xavier Hospital.

Medical Research South’s Diagnostic & Laboratory Equipment includes:

• A "12-Lead" Electrocardiogram (ECG)
