The Urology Center of Colorado (TUCC) is the only comprehensive urology center in the Rocky Mountain region, providing treatment for all urologic conditions. TUCC services include ambulatory surgery, brachytherapy, female urology, lithotripsy, male fertility treatments, minimally invasive treatments for prostate disease, patient support groups, radiation oncology, treatment of urologic cancers, urodynamics, vasectomy and vasectomy reversals. In operation since December 2006, the TUCC physician team includes 16 board certified urologists and radiation oncologists. Our mission is excellence in urology.
Lawrence Karsh, M.D., F.A.C.S., CPI of research studies at TUCC. Dr. Karsh has been involved in research since 1993 and has served as a principal investigator for over 120 studies. He has also conducted workshops for clinical research and serves on advisory panels for investigational drugs..
Dr. Karsh received his B.A. in Boulder from the University of Colorado before obtaining his medical doctorate from The Chicago Medical School. He then completed a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Karsh completed his residency in urology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Karsh is Board Certified in Urology. Dr. Karsh joined Western Urologic Associates in 1999. Western Urologic partnered with Colorado Urology Associates in 2006 to form the premier urology center, TUCC.
The internationally recognized TUCC Clinical Research Department provides patients with access to tomorrow’s urologic therapies today. In 2008, the department was awarded acceptance into the Society of Urologic Oncology Clinical Trials Consortium. TUCC is one of only 22 large urology groups in the country with this designation.

Robin L. Dorsey BA, CCRC , Manager Clinical Research
Robin is a certified clinical research coordinator and has worked in the clinical research field for the past 17 years. She has conducted research in a wide variety of therapeutic areas including endocrinology, dermatology, rheumatology, respiratory, gastroenterology and neurology. She has been involved in urologic research for the past five years.

Candice Fortuna-Smith , Clinical Research Recruiter Candice is a full time clinical research recruiter and has been with TUCC since 2008. Before working in urology she worked in various medical laboratories until 1997.
Gloryna Paul , Certified Clinical Research Coordinator
Gloryna is a certified clinical research coordinator and has worked in the clinical research field for the past four years. She has conducted many research studies in areas such as hypertension, cholesterol, IBS, COPD and urology.

At TUCC, Dr. Karsh serves as the director of our clinical research center. He specializes in prostate disease, brachytherapy, minimally invasive prostate surgery, genitourinary, oncology and reconstructive surgery. He is also fluent in Spanish.
The Clinical Research Department at TUCC has the ability to use a central IRB and can also utilize the services of a local Internal Review Boards for the protection of our study subjects and review of our research studies.
TUCC is an outpatient urologic center conveniently located just north of Sports Authority Field at 2777 Mile High Stadium Circle in Denver, Colorado. Our center is located near several public transportation routes including:
