The Midwest Clinical Research center has been conducting clinical research studies since 1999. Our Center has conducted clinical trials in the adult and pediatric patients and we have contributed to the development of new therapies for asthma, allergic rhinitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Our center has also conducted non-respiratory clinical trials participating in allergic skin diseases, migraines, hypertension and Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gout, hypercholesterolemia and vaccine clinical research trials.
Our dedicated staff of registered nurses are certified in clinical research and our Principal Investigator, Robert Onder MD, JD is a board certified internist, allergist, immunologist committed to providing high quality clinical research. Dr Onder is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He serves on Missouri’s Life Science Research Board and has published articles in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology as well as the European Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Our staff has experience working with many different eCRF vendors and with e-Diaries, paper diaries and PEF diaries. We also have experience with multiple ECG and Spirometry vendor companies.
Midwest Clinical Research LLC has over 2,000 square feet dedicated to clinical research. We are conveniently located in St. Louis County near several major medical centers. This enables us to recruit quickly from all parts of the metropolitan area to achieve a diverse mix of study patients. We have a CLIA-waived laboratory for drawing, processing and shipping laboratory samples on site. The laboratory also has a refrigerated centrifuge along with -20 and -70 freezers and refrigerators for sample storage. Our site has Wi-Fi internet for CRA use along with private rooms for monitoring. The site offers secure temperature-monitored drug storage and has overnight capabilities including private rooms with beds.

Robert Onder, MD, JD
Dr. Onder received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and did his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Washington University. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. Dr. Onder has been the Principal Investigator on over 40 clinical trials since 1999. Dr Onder is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He serves on Missouri’s Life Science Research Board. He has published articles in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the European Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Patricia Tripi, RN, CCRC
Patricia is a Registered Nurse and has worked at Midwest Clinical Research LLC since 2004. Pat’s prior experience is hospital nursing and she is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through ACRP.
Kathleen McNulty, MHS, CCRC
Kate earned a Master of Science degree in Health Care Services. She has over 10 years of research experience and is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through ACRP. Kate has been with Midwest Clinical Research for over a year.
Elizabeth Poeppel, BS
Liz has been with Midwest Clinical Research since May, 2012. She earned a Bachelor of Science and has over 5 years experience working with patients with Respiratory and Pulmonary Disease.
There is a population of 2.5 million patients in the St. Louis Metropolitan area where Midwest Clinical Research LLC is located. Our site specializes in both pediatric and adults populations and has a large database of patients with asthma, COPD, allergies and other medical conditions. We also have access to a constant flow of new patient activity through our Principal Investigator’s private practice.
Midwest Clinical Research LLC uses central Institutional Review Boards for approval of all studies and there are no additional required boards that must review our studies. Contracts and regulatory submissions can be done simultaneously and the typical turn around time for both is less than 1 week.
