We have three experienced Board certified rheumatologists; two of whom are experienced in clinical research in the Principal Investigator/Sub-Investigator roles; the third pre-screens patients for our trials and could perform a Sub-Investigator function. We also have a physician assistant who serves as a Sub-Investigator for research as well. We have partnerships with other physicians to conduct trials at our location utilizing all of our on-site resources for therapeutic areas other than rheumatology.
We have a full staff of study coordinators and a dedicated research director who may also function as a study coordinator on select studies. With regard to drug administration, we maintain a full staff of nurses that can administer treatment as part of our infusions and treatment suite. We are currently engaged in 15 – 20 trials (various phases, 1 – 4), and we are looking to increase the number of ongoing trials to 25 – 30 in 2010 and through 2011.
Although we conduct research only in our Freehold, NJ location, our Toms River location is an integral part of our research, providing exposure to a large patient population from which we recruit subjects. Our two locations are strategically located in close proximity to three densely populated counties affording us access to a diverse population exceeding 2 million people. We rely on our patient database, TV, radio and print advertising to recruit patients.
