Beacon Clinical Research is a full-time independent clinical research facility located in Brockton, MA, just south of Boston. BCR is a multi-specialty site specializing in Phase II-IV clinical trials. BCR was started in 2000 and has conducted over 500 studies to datefor a wide range of clients. We have three dedicated patient recruiters/ customer service professionals, a regulatory specialist, four experienced clinical research coordinators, two Directors to oversee business development and operations, and four Board-certified physicians who serve as principal investigators. For each study, our team develops a customized patient recruitment campaign which includes leveraging our 6,000+ patient database and developing a multi-media advertising campaign optimized to the study based on past performance. All our staff members are trained on GCP, and the company has a professional career track and continuing education program to foster continual learning and improvement.
Our continual diligence, rapid enrollment, and compliance of GCP Guidelines is why BCR has such high sponsor retention within the industry. With our expertise continuing throughout each trial, we provide full execution of protocol with complete clean data.

Located just south of Boston, MA, Beacon Clinical Research, LLC has 4500 square feet of dedicated clinical research space. The center is approximately 30 minutes south of Logan Airport in Boston, MA and 40 minutes north of TF Green Airport in Providence, RI. We are fully equipped to conduct Phase II-IV trials.

Medical Director of Neurology and Psychiatry
David Chen, M.D. is board-certified in Pain as well as in Neurology and Psychiatry . Dr. Chen completed his medical school at the University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Chen completed his Neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital & Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also did a clinical and research fellowship in pain at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Chen is currently an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and has been a Medical Director of Neurology and Psychiatry at Beacon Clinical Research, LLC since 2005. Dr. Chen has been involved in research for approximately 16 years and has been the P.I. on many clinical trials. He is trained in GCP and ICH guidelines.
Medical Director of Internal Medicine
Armen Arslanian, M.D. is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Arslanian completed his medical school at American University of Beirut, Beirut Lebanon, and his residency at Internal Medicine Medical College of Georgia. He did his fellowship at both Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders Medical College of Georgia and Geriatrics CWRU/ UH. He is also an instructor at Harvard Medical School in Boston Massachusetts. Currently Dr. Arslanian is an attending Physician at Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Winchester Physician Associates, Stoneham Medical Group, and Winchester Hospital. Dr. Arslanian has been the Medical Director of Internal Medicine at Beacon Clinical Research, LLC since 2003. Dr. Arslanian has been involved in clinical research for ten years and has been the P.I. on many multicenter trials. In addition, he has experience in many different indications. Dr. Arslanian is fully trained in GCP and ICH guidelines.
Medical Director of Dermatology
Victoria Kuohung, M.D., J.D. is board-certified in Dermatology. After graduating from the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Kuohung completed her internship at Beth-Isreal Deaconess and her residency at the Boston University and Tufts University Combined Residency in Dermatology.Dr. Kuohung is currently a physician at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and has been a Medical Director of Dermatology at Beacon Clinical Research, LLC since 2013. Prior to Beacon Clinical, Dr. Kuohung acquired experience in clinical research as an Investigator and Clinical Research Coordinator on a number of studies going back to 2000. Dr. Kuohung also has a JD from Harvard Law School.
Principal Investigator/ Sub Investigator
Paul Sergi, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Sergi graduated from New York Medical College in 1968 and completed his internship at Rhode Island Hospital and surgical residency at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Sergi worked at Goddard Medical Associated, PC and Bridgewater Goddard Park medical Associated, INC as a General surgeon for thirty years. Currently Dr. Sergi is a staff physician at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center and Brockton Hospital. In addition, he is a Principal Investigator and Sub Investigator at Beacon Clinical Research, LLC.
Raymond Nomizu is the Director of Clinical Operations of Beacon Clinical Research. His responsibilities include overseeing ongoing studies and staff training. Raymond has extensive experience in management consulting and business operations.
Beacon Clinical’s Site includes:
4 Primary Investigators, 2 Directors, 4 Clinical Research Coordinators, 1 Regulatory Specialist, 3 Patient Recruiters / Customer Service Specialists. The coordinators hold titles ranging from CRC I- CRC III. In addition we have personnel that conduct onsite internal QA.
