Center Overview

Sunrise Clinical Research was established in 1999 as the research division of Universal Medical Concepts, a private practice of over 30 board certified neurologists, internists and pulmonologists dedicated to developing new treatments and cutting edge research for neurological and respiratory conditions. Research is conducted in our 12, 000 square foot state-of-the art facility. In addition to our neurologists, internists and pulmonologists, we also have a neuropsychologist, physical therapists, a regulatory administrator, 3 full time Research Coordinators and a Research Assistant. Our sleep lab, Sunrise Sleep Diagnostics, meets the standards dictated by the American Academy of Sleep Centers and is recognized as a fully accredited sleep center.

Facility Description

Sunrise Clinical Research is located in South Florida, which has a wide range of patient demographics. Within 15 miles of our office, there are over one million full time residents. South Florida is still encompassing one of the largest retirement communities in the nation. Our site is a 12, 000 square foot facility dedicated to neurological, respiratory and internal medicine disorders. Our intricate database contains over 150, 000 names and can generate patient lists by almost any search criteria. Transportation may be provided.

Our Investigators are Medical Directors of The Brain Attack team and The Sleep Disorder Centers of Memorial Health System which follows over 6,000 patients.

Our Investigators have been instructors for the Academy of Neurology for Dystonia/Spasticity Workshop for 2006 & 2008 for Botulinum Toxin which hosted physicians from all over the world.

Our neuropsychology division includes both neuropsychological evaluations and individual cognitive rehabilitation programs based upon the results of those evaluations.
