This is a day and night private psychiatry practice of Gurmeet Multani M.D. with a diversified pool of 8000+ mentally ill patients. Established in 1992 this probably is the busiest out-patient psychiatric practice in the County of San Bernardino, CA. Presently there are a multitude of physicians poised, ready to assist Dr. Multani.
Malwinder Multani M.D. is a Board Certified Geriatrician with an extensive professional repertoire. As a Geriatrician, Dr. Multani has experience in making medication recommendations, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Social Service referrals.
Dr. Multani has the experience of working as a full time Geriatrician for a 99 bed VA Nursing Home Care Unit, specializing in caring for veterans in a designated 29 bed Special Care Dementia Unit and a 25 bed Geriatric Rehabilitation Unit.
Her administrative activities include chairing numerous committees created to research alternative strategies designed to address ongoing issues within geriatrics (i.e. reduction in restraint use, optimizing poly-pharmacy strategies, streamline discharge planning, and implementing palliative care.
Her research activities and interests involve traditional Geriatrics practices with professional enhancements privy to concentrations within the disciplines of Long Term Care, Dementia and Palliative care.

We actively performed research and clinical trials for more than eight (8) years. The Director of Research, Satish M. Sood Ph.D. has 30+ years of research experience thus enhancing our credentials.
Last study with 331 patients was completed in February of 2007 and another in schizophrenia with 34 patients was recently completed. Currently we have an ongoing series of studies in depression, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder, schizophrenia and substance abuse. Furthermore, we have two ongoing studies regarding schizophrenia in collaboration with the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH) and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (UNC). This site has been approved by most of the leading pharmaceutical companies for conducting clinical trials.
We are the only private practice research site approved by UNC / NIMH. We have Federal wide assurance certifications. All of the study coordinators and physicians are fully certified in human subject training and good clinical practices.
Our research center has worked with Mc Neil, Jansen, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
The Facility covers 6,000 sq. ft. area with ample parking space, a comfortable waiting room, 9+ patient check-up rooms, and secure storage procedures for investigational chemical entities, and documents.
The Shanti Clinical Trials facility’s features include a state of the art, technology driven, out patient center that has affiliation with San Bernardino community hospital for in patient services.
This technologically adept institution positions itself toward future research opportunities complete with ECRF capabilities, experience with IVRS systems and consistent blinding processes. We have centrifuges, -20 degree freezers, EKG machines EEG machines and access to MRI, other metric equipment, on site clinical laboratory and much more.
The site affiliates with a dynamic, on site fitness facility complete with a dedicated expert trainer.
