Advanced Research Institute (ARI)
Advanced Research Institute is a mult-specialty clinical
research center located in Northern Utah. We are affiliated with
several large physician practices with access to over 60,000 active
patients. We are consistently top enrollers for the study sponsors
and CROs we work with.
Advanced Research Institute is available to participate in
clinical trials in all medical specialties. Our investigators have
been involved in clinical research since 1985. Our center has
participated in trials with many sponsors and CROs including:
Astrazeneca, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Glaxo-Smith-Kline, TAP,
Novartis, Eisai, Salix, Microbia, Sucampo, Theravance, Tioga,
Abbott, Celltech, Otsuka, Centocor, Altana, Janssen, Target,
Omnicare, Icon, Covance, United Biosource, Essential, Kendle, PRA,
and PRS.
Advanced Research Institute's facility was designed
specifically to meet the needs of our research staff, study
participants, and study monitors. Our facility is comfortable and
inviting, with subdued color schemes and pleasant decor. Advanced
Research has dedicated single and multi-monitor work spaces with
phone access and high-speed internet at every station. We have
secure drug storage and a -40° freezer. Our campus also features an
on-site ambulatory surgical center, ultrasound technology,
fluoroscopy (full-size c-arm), EKG equipment, and lower extremity
radiology capabilities. We are conveniently located to the Salt
Lake City International Airport.
Advanced Research Institute's principal investigator is Dr.
John E. Lowe, MD, FACG. Dr. Lowe has participated in clinical
trials since 1985, is board certified in internal medicine, and
specializes in gastroenterology. Dr. Lowe is assisted by two
physician assistants. Advanced Research Institute and Dr. Lowe have
relationships with investigators and subinvestigators in many other
medical specialties who are available to participate in clinical
trials with us.
The staff at Advanced Research Institute is meticulous in
executing and managing clinical research trials on behalf of
sponsors and CRO's. The lead study coordinator at Advanced
Research Institute is Mr. Scott Lowe. Mr. Lowe has been with us
since 2000 and has extensive experience in clinical trial
management. He is assisted by a group of experienced and educated
(BS or higher) coordinators who are dedicated to completing trials
in an efficient and effective manner. Advanced Research Institute
also boasts a full-time recruitment and marketing staff, and has
access to more than 20 registered nurses at any given time through
our affiliation with our on-site ambulatory surgical center.
Advanced Research Institute has access to over 60,000 active
patients through our existing patient, physician group, and
surgical center relationships. All of these patient records are
electronically searchable by demographic criteria and past
diagnosis.
Advanced Research Institute uses a central IRB.
