Center Overview

The Orlando Heart Research Institute conducts clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Code of Federal Regulations. We participate in multiple Phase II to Phase IV pharmaceutical and device trials, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Many of our physicians have attended Investigator GCP Training Seminars. Specific areas of interest include coronary artery disease, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, nuclear medicine, congestive heart failure, and myocardial infarctions.

Clinical Research Experience

The Orlando Heart Research Institute has been conducting Clinical Research since 1998.

Our research center has worked with a variety of sponsor companies and CRO's including:

St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific, Medtronic Inc., Sanofi Aventis, AtheroGenics, Inc., Abbott Vascular, Bracco, Pfizer, Alexion/Procter & Gamble

Facility Description

The Orlando Heart Research Institute is a division of Orlando Heart Center. It is a twenty-two physician cardiology group in the greater Orlando area offering the entire spectrum of cardiovascular services, providing cost-effective care of the highest quality.

Since 1968, the underlying philosophy has been to treat each patient in a private, individualized, and personal manner, using the latest technological advances available.

Committed dedication to excellence is evidenced in every aspect of our practice, from prevention to diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Orlando Heart Center introduced an Electronic Medical Record to better assist in patient care.

Orlando Heart Center proudly recognizes its Nuclear Cardiology department for its recent accreditation with ICANL. It is one of only three nuclear labs in the state of Florida with this accreditation.

Now accredited for ICAEL and ICAVL.
