Women's Health Research Center is a dedicated investigation site devoted to promoting advances in women's health. Dr. Scott E. Eder is one of the leading providers of women's healthcare in Central New Jersey. He works in conjunction with The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness, LLC, to offer cutting edge therapeutic opportunities for women of all ages.
Our site has worked with and conducted studies for :Rhone-Poulenc, Ortho-McNeil, Johnson & Johnson, Bayer, Luitpold, Novo-Nordisk, Duramed, Organon, Berlex, Warner-Chilcott, Wyeth-Ayrst, Xanodyne, Symbollon, Church & Dwight, Orasure, Roche, KV Pharmaceuticals, Ferring, Quatrx, The-Rx, Femme Pharma, and BD Diagnostics. We have worked with such CROs as Covance, LBR Regulatory, Parexel, Icon, Quintiles, TKL and Pharmaseek.
Our most recent projects have included, hormonal replacement therapy, evaluations of estrogen/progesterone patches , progestational agents, oral contraceptives, vaginal antifungals , post-operative pain relief, antibiotic’s effects on semen, breast pain, infertility, vaginal atrophy, amenorrhea, human papillomavirus (HPV), menstrual disorders, vaginal antiviral medication, endometriosis and osteoporosis. In addition to medications, we have extensive experience in device trials. Recent trials have included diagnostic devices, urine pregnancy kits, home semen analysis kits, and vaginal contraceptive devices.
We are prepared to conduct studies on any aspect of obstetrics, gynecology, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology, infertility, and sexual dysfunction. In addition we have the capability to investigate any medication requiring a female population (obesity, hypertension etc.)
Our beautiful facility allows for 24 hour interaction with study subjects and secure drug storage. The center is capable of performing outpatient and inpatient gynecologic care from adolescence through menopause. We offer a wide variety of services and have the ability to perform multiple office based procedures. We perform ultrasounds, ECG, sonohysterograms, urodynamic testing, colposcopy, LEEP and extensive biopsy sampling on site at our facility. Dr. Scott E Eder specializes in complex laparoscopic robotic surgery. We have a full service laboratory with refrigeration and freezer for proper specimen processing. Our IATA certified staff have the ability to manufacture dry-ice on site. Multiple full service radiological procedures including but not limited to mammography, DEXA bone scanning, and CT scans are located nearby. For your convenience our office has wireless internet capability.
Our office is located in Plainsboro, New Jersey. We are centrally located from NYC and Philadelphia. .We are easily accessible from Newark’s Liberty International Airport (45 minutes), Philadelphia International Airport (45 minutes) or the Trenton-Mercer Airport (20 minutes). The office is also easily accessed by car and public transportation.
Scott Evan Eder, MS, MD, FACOG, CPI is a board certified gynecologist who serves as Principal Investigator. Dr. Eder has been conducting clinical trials since 1983 and is a certified physician Investigator. Dr. Eder is on staff at University Medical Center of Princeton and Capital Health Systems. Our coordinators are trained in GCP and have extensive experience in electronic data capture systems.
We have a patient database of over 80,000 female patients ranging in age from 12-99. Our population includes Caucasians, African -Americans, Hispanics, and a sizeable Asian contingent.
Subjects are also recruited via referrals and advertising in
Central New Jersey, one of the most densely populated regions of the
United States.
