Encore Research Group
The Encore Research Group (ENcouraging COmmunity Research and
Education) is a network of five multi-specialty sites located in
the state of Florida; the Jacksonville Center for Clinical
Research, St. Johns Center for Clinical Research, Jacksonville
Center for Clinical Research-West Campus, Nature Coast Clinical
Research - Inverness, and Nature Coast Clinical Research-Crystal
River.
Dr. Michael Koren is the Director and founder of the Encore
Research Group. He is an honors graduate of Harvard Medical School
and received post graduate training in internal medicine and
cardiology at New York Hospital/Memorial Sloane Kettering/Cornell
Medical Center. Dr. Koren is a well known clinical trialist and
educator in the clinical research field.
Under Dr. Koren's guidance, the sites of Encore Research
Group have developed a national reputation for high enrollment and
clean clinical data. Dr. Koren has published over two dozen
scientific papers and lectures to physician and non-physician
groups frequently on a wide range of medical topics. His clinical
trial training course is attended by over 400 investigators
including most of the 75 investigators participating in the Encore
Research Group. His latest endeavor is the Ask100 Doctors ™ system
for online consultations with multiple physicians.
Our sites have extensive research experience and conduct studies
across a broad range of therapeutic areas, both in-patient and
outpatient. Each site has dedicated research staff consisting of
highly trained investigators and study coordinators, uses central
IRBs, and processes regulatory documentation and contract
negotiations centrally. Each site is in full compliance with FDA,
GCP, ICH, and IRB guidelines.

Our mission is to evaluate and treat patients in a
physician-directed clinical research facility that provides our
community with innovative medical care through research
opportunities. In partnership with patients and sponsors, we will
ethically obtain quality scientific data and provide strong
enrollment in protocols and positive patient and physician
experiences.

Creative Systems Designed by Encore Research
Group
e-TrialDoc ™ is a web based service designed by
investigators, coordinators, and managers to help clinical research
sites in their day-to-day activities. This subscription based
service standardizes and streamlines site procedures.
Ask 100 Doctors ™ (patent pending) is a
multi-physician, online consultation system which allows the
submission of medical cases or questions to a group of thought
leading physicians and obtain easily understandable unbiased
medical opinions. This system can provide nearly instant consensus
medical opinions for a variety of case scenarios or establish that
no consensus exists. For a reasonably priced subscription fee, the
system also allows the general public to browse through the answers
to all submitted cases and questions. To our knowledge, no other
system, online or otherwise, allows users to quickly and easily
understand how America ’s best doctors view solutions to individual
medical cases and questions. In addition, Ask 100 Doctors™ has
sophisticated capabilities of scale and subanalysis making the
system a unique research tool for individuals and organizations
seeking detailed insight into how doctors think about today’s
vexing medical dilemmas.
