AKDHC is one of the nation's largest groups of physicians
specializing in the care of patients with renal disease, including
chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis, transplantation, and
vascular access management. Since 1976, it has enjoyed the trust of
patients and the respect of the community throughout the Phoenix
Metropolitan area and the northern two-thirds of the state of
Arizona.

AKDHC’s Clinical Research Staff has a combined experience of 15+
years from various specialties including Basic Research
(Pre-clinical), Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatric,
Cardiovascular, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Dermatology, Device
and currently Nephrology. In our current setting of Nephrology
clinical research experience we cover all aspects of Chronic Kidney
Disease including but not limited to: Hypertension,
Hyperparathyroidism, Diabetes, Microalbuminuria, Proteinuria,
Hyperphosphatemia, Hypercholesterolemia, Bone Hystomorphometry,
Anemia, Dialysis - Hemodialysis & Peritoneal Dialysis,
fistula/graft placement and maintenance (vascular access) and
Kidney Transplant.
We have a Clinical Research Team in place that involves six
Clinical Research Professionals and eight dedicated
physicians/Principal Investigators that meet quarterly to review
protocols for consideration, quality assurance and any other
research business.
All of our 50+ physicians are Principal Investigators and/or
Sub-Investigators on all of our clinical research trials. We are
contributing to the world of research through the conduct of clean,
ethically sound, Pharmaceutical, Device and Academic clinical
trials. We strive to take the best from our vast field of
experience and apply it within our group Nephrology Practice to
provide our patients the opportunity to participate in research and
to have our physicians be part of clinical breakthroughs in their
field of expertise.
We have eight main offices in the Phoenix area, in addition to
numerous satellite offices in the vicinity including Prescott &
Tucson.

AKDHC Physicians specialize in the field of nephrology and
internal medicine. Several physicians have FACP status as Fellows
of the American College of Physicians. Two are credited as Clinical
Associate Professors of Medicine with the University of Arizona
College of Medicine. Several physicians in the practice serve
currently, or have recently served as directors of nephrology
departments at major Phoenix area hospitals. AKDHC physicians
provide Medical Directorship for numerous in-hospital acute
dialysis programs in the area.
