Research Center Profile:
Rex Healthcare
Rex Healthcare is a 433 general acute care bed hospital and
member of the UNC Health Care family, a not-for-profit integrated
health care system. Rex's Clinical Research Center is located
on our main hospital campus in west Raleigh. While clinical trials
have been conducted at Rex for several years, a dedicated center
was established in 2006 to coordinate research for heart, vascular,
radiology and diagnostic efforts.
At Rex Healthcare, our highly-skilled professionals utilize a
high tech, high touch approach to caring for patients. With 950
physicians on staff and nearly 4,000 employees, it is our mission
to provide the best in health services by bringing together
compassionate care and leading edge technology. Our research is
driven by values which center around patient safety, sound business
practices, outstanding care and superior customer service.
Rex Healthcare's Research Center staff and affiliates have
vast experiences within the research community. The center is
coordinated by a clinical research nurse who has extensive
background in both research and therapeutic areas such as
cardiology, vascular disorders and corrective surgeries, infectious
disease, rheumatology, neurology, medical devices, psychiatry and
pediatrics.
Our research center has worked with a variety of sponsor
companies and CRO's including PPD, PharmalinkFHI, INC Research,
BMS, Novartis, Talecris, Cordis and Johnson & Johnson, just to
name a few. As the year continues, we look forward to expanding our
scope and working with new organizations. Please contact us if you
are interested in partnering with us.
