Founded in 2003 by Dr. Adly Thebaud, Medical Research Group of Central Florida provides opportunities for investigation in psychiatric and neurologic disorders for all ages as well as family medicine. Medical Research Group of Central Florida is dedicated to fostering good clinical trial practices having a professional staff trained in FDA, GCP and ICH guidelines. Patient safety is our focus.

Facility Description

We have two convenient locations. Our facilities are located in Orange City, Florida (approximately thirty miles east of Orlando, Florida and twenty-five miles west of Daytona Beach, Florida) and in Sanford, Florida (approximately twenty miles east of Orlando, Florida and thirty-five miles west of Daytona Beach, Florida).

Both of our facilities include examination rooms, full phlebotomy and laboratory processing capabilities, ECG capacities, the use of hospital facilities at two regional hospitals, and our facility is also equipped with up to date Broadband on-line access for web-based CRF completion, and wireless access for eCRF data input.

Our Sanford facility is located across the street for Central Florida Region Hospital and our Orange City facility is located one mile for Fish Memorial Hospital. These facilities have been used in previous studies for fast access to EEG, MRI/CT and X-ray diagnostic procedures.

Additionally, Dr. Thebaud has been provided with admitting privileges at both Florida Hospital Deland, and South Seminole Hospital in neighboring Longwood, Florida. The potential for conducting inpatient studies at either facility has been assessed, and stands as a solid resource for future clinical trials.

Investigator Experience

Adly Thebaud, M.D. is a Certified Principal Investigator, and a Board Certified Psychiatrist with experience in treating children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients affected by psychiatric, medical and neurological disorders. Dr. Thebaud oversees the operation of clinical trials with the additional responsibility for Medical Oversight. Dr. Thebaud has conducted over 27 clinical trials.

Josette Romain, M.D. is a Board Certified Family Physician actively involved in the follow up care to many of our patients in clinical research. Dr. Romain takes the role as the sub-investigator and works in collaboration with the clinical research team to provide the utmost level of service and professionalism to residents of Central Florida participating in clinical trials.

Certified Clinical Research Coordinator with experience in Oncology, Urology, Women's Health, Gastrointestinal, Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Rheumatology, Pain and CNS Phase I-IV trials.

Dawn Millard MA,CRC
(Over ten years of experience)
Clinical Research Coordinator experienced in performing studies in the areas of Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, OA, RA, Obesity, Vaccine studies, Diabetes, GERD, Post-Menopausal, Birth Control in all phases with extensive experience in Phase I and first in human studies.

Medical Research Group of Central Florida has staff dedicated to Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Patient Recruitment and Coordinator Assisting.

Patient Demographics

Patients that are recommended for study inclusion are drawn from Dr. Thebaud's private practice, referrals from medical providers, or self referred. Our regional population is diverse and our demographics are similar to that of the general population of the continental United States.
