Health Research Institute (HRI) is a dedicated multi-specialty research center. We are affiliated with the Oklahoma Foundation for Orthopedic Health. HRI is committed to the study of new treatments, devices and drugs with special interest in the areas of Orthopedics, Rheumatology, and Pain management.

Clinical Research Experience

The Health Research Institute conducts approximately 25-30 trials annually. We take great pride in providing our patients with a professional and courteous environment. Facility Description

Health Research Institute is an Independent Research Facility affiliated with a group of Orthopedic Surgeons, Anesthesiologist, and a Rheumatologist. We have onsite a specialty hospital with ER and an outpatient surgery center.

Our facility services include (but are not limited to) the following:

Investigator Experience

Joseph Grillo, M.D.
Medical Director
As an orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years experience and specialized training, Dr. Grillo’s practice is primarily focused on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of a broad spectrum of foot and ankle conditions.

M. Faisal Khan, M.D.
Rheumatology
As a physician in internal medicine with subspecialty in rheumatology, Dr. Khan is specially trained to treat musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, and autoimmune diseases.

Houshang Seradge, M.D., F.I.C.S.
Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery
A board-certified in orthopedic surgery, surgery of the hand and pain management, and his practice is focused primarily on treatment of the hand and upper extremity.

C.L. Soo, MD
Spine Treatment
Dr. Soo’s extensive training and experience enables him to provide surgical and non-surgical treatment for the entire spectrum of spinal conditions.

R.J. Amin, M.D.
Pain Management
As a physician sub-specializing in pain management, his practice focuses on treating acute and chronic neck and back pain, persistent leg and arm pain, and work-related injuries.

Allen Dennis, M.D.
Pain Management
As a board-certified anesthesiologist and a physician sub-specializing in pain management, Dr. Dennis’ practice focuses on treating acute/chronic neck, back, persistent arm, leg pain, and work-related injuries.

Joel Frazier, M.D.
Hand and Upper Extremity Treatment
As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and hand surgeon, Dr. Frazier specializes in hand, wrist and elbow surgery. With his extensive training and background, he is able to provide surgical and non-surgical treatment for the entire spectrum of upper extremity conditions.

Juan Villazon, M.D.
Neurologist
As a board-certified neurologist, Dr. Villazon specializes in the diagnosis and/or treatment of compression neuropathies, peripheral neuropathy, and other neurological disorders.

3 Full time Clinical Research Associates on staff with a combined experience of 8 years in coordinating and managing Phase II, III, and IV trials.
