Gastroenterology Research Associates, LLC
Gastroenterology Research Associates, LLC dedicated to the care
of patients with GI disorders, provides a full spectrum of liver
and digestive disease treatments including management of the
area's significant Hepatitis-C population. Comprised of three
board-certified Gastroenterologists, a certified Nurse Practitioner
and two full time clinical research coordinators, GRA performs more
than 5000 procedures annually in its endocsopy center. Networked
with a vast group of referring physicians, GRA has access to a very
large and diverse patient database. The center is located in a
western suburb of New York City and is accessible by public
transportation and major highways.

Gastroenterology Research Associates, LLC is a dedicated
research center for the study of GI and liver related disorders.
GRA is affiliated with an independent endoscopy center and offers
an on-site IV infusion suite. In addition, GRA performs M2A
Diagnostic capsule endoscopy, pH testing, hydrogen breath test and
BRAVO pH monitoring. The center is easily accessible by public
transportation and the major highways I-78, I-80 and I-287.
John. M. Dalena, MD, director of clinical
research has more than 10 years experience conducting Phase II, III
and IV trials. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and
Gastroenterology. Dr. Dalena serves as Chairman of the Department
of Gastroenterology for Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Darren. R. Blumberg, MD is Board Certified in
Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has 4 years clinical
research experience.
Purnima Balachandran, MD is Board Certified in
Internal Medicine and has recently completed a Fellowship in
Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Donna J. C. Fanelli, MSN, NP-C is a certified
Nurse Practitioner with 8 years clinical research experience.
Member of ACRP.
Luz Marcela Merchan, CCRC, has 5 years clinical
research experience with both in-patient and out-patient clinical
trials. Certified IATA for shipping of dangerous goods.
Veronica Yung, RA, has 1 year experience in
clinical research. Certified IATA for shipping of dangerous
goods.
The practice itself has a database of over 20,000 patients, and
a large referral base of physicians within four neighboring
counties.
We use Central IRB We meet or exceed
projected enrollment for 90% of studies conducted.
