Jasper Summit Research LLC is located in a modern, spacious
private practice dedicated to bringing state of the art medical
treatment to our patients. (see website)
Jasper Summit Research, LLC has participated in clinical trials
with leading pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca,
GlaxoSmithKline, Altana, Boehringer Ingelheim & Sanofi-Aventis.
Our Principal Investigator and sub-investigators are board
certified and have extensive study experience. The current staff
includes two trained study coordinators, one patient recruiter and
one coordinator assistant. Clinical trials experience includes
hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, restless leg
syndrome, atrial fibrillation, asthma, lung cancer, asthma/allergy,
insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea.
Modern facility located within .1 mile of major hospital, easily
accessible from Highway 78. Twelve patient exam rooms, patient
lounge with television for extended visits, comfortable waiting
area. Daily Airborne and Fed ex pick-up. 24 hour fax on dedicated
line. Networked desktop computers at each staff members desk with
high speed internet connection. Equipped with state of the art
equipment including for Pulmonary Function Testing, Respiratory
Mechanics, Body Plethsmography, Cardio pulmonary exercise testing.
Sleep lab, ECG equipment, centrifuge, -70 Freezer, temperature
controlled medication storage, on site archiving.
Jan H.Westerman, MD (Principal Investigator) Board Certified in
Pulmonary, Sleep, Critical Care and Internal Medicine. Over 18
years research experience. Sub-Investigators Board Certified with
combined seven years research experience. Also have pool of six
Internal Medicine Sub-Investigators for Internal Medicine Specialty
Clinical Research.
Mark Smith, CRNP with four years Clinical Research
experience
Becky Thompson RN,CCRC and Donna Sherer, RN,CRC with over five
years experience in conducting various clinical trials.
Coordinators certified in ACLS, CPR, HAZMAT and Certified CRC
training. Capabilities, Spirometry, PFT's inhalation therapy,
methacholine challenge testing, PK sampling, electrocardiograms,
blood pressure monitoring (holter and ambulatory monitoring), pain
assessments and evaluations, x-rays, IV infusion, , quality of life
questionnaires, diary assessments, patient education, laboratory
draws and preparation, HAZMAT training.
Use Central IRB, Use central lab, have contract with certified
local lab if needed.
