Southern Tier Arthritis & Rheumatism is a private-practice
dedicated to personalized care with a strong interest in research.
We have been at our present location for over 1 year, but have been
providing Rheumatology services to the same community for over 10
years.
We presently have experience conducting a Phase IV clinical
trial as well as Data Collection studies for Rheumatology and
associated conditions.
Located in Southwestern New York State with easy access to
Interstate 86. The office is very comfortable with a well-appointed
waiting room with remote control wall mounted T.V. The office has 3
exam rooms as well as a 4-chair infusion suite. The infusion suite
has reclining chairs, a small patient library and a T.V. for our
patients' comfort. Refreshments are also available.
On site DEXA as well as a small magnet hand MRI, with easy
access to affiliated and adjoining facility for Ultrasound, Open
MRI, as well as CT. Phlebotomy available on site. Also dedicated
medication refrigerator.
Study monitors have a spacious work area with a dedicated data
line.
Dr. James C. VanDeWall is board certified in
both Rheumatology as well as Internal Medicine. He has consulting
privileges at Olean General Hospital and is presently serving as
P.I. for the HERO Trial.
We have approximately 6000 patients, which is mainly Caucasian.
We also serve a population from the Seneca Nation of Indians.
We have utilized Central IRB's for our previous research
studies.
