AccelRx Research - MA
The mission of AccelRx Research is to provide high-quality
clinical care to patients in the context of a clinical research
setting. We work to develop and enhance pharmacological treatment
for the benefit of the general community.
AccelRx Research functions in conjunction with the private
psychiatric practice of Russell
Pet, M.D.- MA.
AccelRx Research has conducted Phase II to IV research trials in
the areas of:

It is staffed with certified clinicians and research
professionals experienced in conducting clinical research.
AccelRx Research site is equipped with a locked drug cabinet, a locked freezer (-20°), an ECG machines, an on-site examination rooms, and an on-site laboratory. In addition, the office space is accommodating to both patients and research professionals, with a comfortable waiting area, private offices, and dedicated monitoring space.

AccelRx Research is a dedicated research center in the heart of the New England city of Fall River, MA.
It is staffed with certified clinicians and research professionals experienced in conducting clinical research.
Russell Pet, M.D. is board-certified in Adult
Psychiatry and a Certified Clinical Trials Investigator (CCTI). Dr.
Pet has cared for patients in the Southeastern Massachusetts region
since 1996, and is also a licensed physician in Rhode Island. He is
a member of Southern New England Physicians Associates, a group of
ten psychiatrists who provide psychiatric care in inpatient
psychiatric and medical hospitals, day hospitals, extended care
facilities, and a variety of outpatient and community health
settings. Dr. Pet completed his pre-medical and medical training at
Columbia University, Dartmouth Medical School, and Brown University
School of Medicine. He is president of the medical staff at
Charlton Memorial Hospital, served as past chairman of the
Department of Neuropsychiatry at Charlton Memorial Hospital, and
sits on the governing council of the Rhode Island Psychiatric
Society. Dr. Pet is a member of the American Psychiatric
Association, the Rhode Island Psychiatric Society, the Association
of Geriatric Psychiatrists, the American Neuropsychiatric
Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society, and the Fall River
Medical Society. He has co-authored papers and text chapters on
psychiatry in Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Pet has been affiliated
with AccelRx Research since March of 2004.
The research staff at AccelRx Research, has extensive experience
in conducting all areas of clinical trial research. This involves
all areas from screening and randomizing appropriate patients to
the timely submission of IRB materials, the staff at AccelRx
research continually conduct themselves in a manner consistent with
their goal of maintaining a high standard of performance.
In addition, the research staff is qualified to perform numerous
ratings and assessments, including, but not limited to, the
Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV (Axis I and II), Mini
International Neuropsychiatric Interview, Hamilton Depression
Scale, Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating Scale, Hamilton Rating
Scale for Anxiety, Clinician's Interview Based Impression of
Severity.
In addition to Dr. Pet's large private practice from which
appropriate patients are drawn, his professional relationships
with several primary care physicians serves to provide AccelRx
Research with numerous patient referrals to our open research
studies.
In addition, AccelRx Research has working relationships with
several local and state-wide newspapers and generally receives a
good response from print advertisements.
AccelRx Research utilizes central IRB, which allows us a quick
study start-up phase and a smooth operation of our ongoing studies
(i.e. in terms of protocol amendments, etc.).
