Summit Research Network , formerly known as
Seattle Clinical Research Center, is an independent medical
research organization. Since 1991 we have worked in cooperation
with pharmaceutical companies to develop medical treatments for a
variety of conditions.
Beginning in the year 1999, Seattle Clinical Research Center
joined with four similar sites across the country to form
Summit Research Network . By expanding to become a
national organization, Summit can marshall additional resources to
provide the most advanced research techniques to help individuals
with psychiatric conditions.
Summit Research Network is a nationally recognized organization.
Our goal is to increase scientific knowledge as well as public
awareness in the area of clinical research. Through the advancement
of medical treatment, we are committed to conducting the highest

Summit Research Network (Seattle) specializes in clinical
studies for Anxiety, Depression, Alcohol Related Problems,
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Bipolar Disorder
(Type I and II), Chronic Low back Pain, Fibromyalgia, Insomnia,
Memory Loss, Migraine, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD),
Obesity, Panic Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)/Premenstrual Stress Syndome
(PMS), Sexual Dysfunction, Smoking Cessation, and Social
Phobia.
Summit Research Network (Seattle) has one out-patient facility
located in the medical region (First Hill) of Seattle. We are
easily accessible by freeway as well as various modes of public
transportation (i.e., bus, ferry). Validated parking is available
at our clinical site. We occupy the entire 18th floor and enjoy
breathtaking views of the entire Seattle region. Equipment

Jerry C. Steiert, MD ,
Investigator
Dr. Steiert has worked in clinical research since 2001 and has
served as Principal Investigator at Summit Research Network since
2004. Dr. Steiert is Board Certified in Psychiatry with the
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Benjamin Dobbeck, PsyD ,
Investigator
Dr. Dobbeck, clinical psychologist, has worked in clinical research since 1999, including 5 years with Summit Research Network (Oregon) Inc. He joined the Summit Seattle team in 2008. While working mostly with adults, he also has considerable experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations. Dr. Dobbeck is licensed in both Oregon and Washington.
Claire Waltman, MD , Investigator
Dr. Waltman has worked in clinical research since 1995. Her
experience includes research fellowships at the National Institute
on Aging and Johns Hopkins. She has served as Principal
Investigator on studies since 1999 and joined Summit Research
Network in 2006. She is board certified in Endocrinology and
Metabolism as well as Internal Medicine.
Laurel Leigh, RN, MA, MS, MFT ,
Rater/Diagnostician
Laurel Leigh has worked as a psychometrician and researcher since
1995 at Summit Research Network. She has evaluated patients for
many kinds of studies including depression, anxiety, panic, ADHD,
PTSD, social anxiety, smoking cessation, and insomnia
disorders.
Many of our highly trained and extensively educated personnel
have varied backgrounds in clinical research and in the medical
industry. Some of our staff members have been with us since the
beginning of the clinic.

It is the policy at Summit Research Network (Seattle) that all
clinical personnel are encouraged to keep abreast of the GCP, ICH
and FDA guidelines/regulations through various continuing
educational programs and professional organization (i.e., ACRP and
RAPS) certifications.
We draw patients from the Puget Sound and greater Seattle
metropolitan area.
Able to utilize central IRB (once Investigator requirements for
choosing and IRB are met)
Experience with remote data entry (RDE) and IVRS
Quality Assurance monitoring
Follow-up Care (Aftercare) for study participants
