Research Center Profile:
Florida Clinical Research Center (formerly Core Research)
Florida Clinical Research Center (FCRC), formerly Core Research,
is a full time research-only facility founded by Dr. Andrew J.
Cutler. As a Clinical Research Organization, we work with
pharmaceutical companies to test the safety and efficacy of
medications for the treatment of a variety of mental disorders
including anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, insomnia, and
schizophrenia. Dedicated to understanding, informing and improving
the lives of those with mental illness, FCRC strives to provide
exemplary care for study participants, while contributing data of
the highest quality to the field of mental health research.
FCRC specializes in CNS clinical trials for psychiatric and
related indications affecting both children and adults of all ages.

Florida Clinical Research Center has worked with most of the
major pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers
Squibb, Cephalon, Forest, Glaxo Smith Kline, Janssen, Johnson and
Johnson, Eli Lilly, Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, Organon,
Sanofi-Aventis, Sepracor, Shire, Wyeth, and others.
Our outpatient clinic is in Maitland, Florida, just outside
Orlando’s city limits, allowing us to draw from a population of
more than two million people. Only ten minutes from downtown
Orlando, we are easily accessible via the major transportation
arteries in our area.
In addition, Florida Clinical Research Center is fortunate to
have the first research site in Lake County, which has a population
of over a quarter million. Located in Leesburg, FL, within the
Lifestream hospital complex, this branch is home to our inpatient
studies. The hospital provides regular access to day treatment
consumers and those in the inpatient units. We are also excited to
announce the inauguration of an outpatient clinic in Lake County in
2008 as well. This clinic is located in Lady Lake and will offer a
broad spectrum of studies to an extensive population of
participants in this area.
Our physicians and psychiatrists specialize in the areas of
anxiety, ADHD, depressive disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar,
insomnia, and other conditions. The staff members have working
relationships with other local medical professionals in the event a
particular protocol requires the participation of a doctor who is
not on staff (e.g. neurologist, ophthalmologist, etc.)
