California Neuroscience Research is a specialized Central Nervous System (CNS) clinical trial site founded by Dr. Tom Shiovitz, an experienced researcher and board-certified psychiatrist.

California Neuroscience Research's primary focus is on high quality outpatient studies and small, CNS proof-of-concept studies.

Facility Description

California Neuroscience Research is located adjacent to Sherman Oaks Hospital in a beautiful northern suburb of Los Angeles, CA. It has convenient validated parking and is easily accessible by car or public transportation. Sherman Oaks Hospital is a medical/surgery hospital with an 18 bed inpatient geropsychiatric unit. The hospital also has laboratory, radiology, and CT/MRI facilities.

• Comfortable waiting area
• Double-locked drug storage area

Investigator Experience

Principal Investigator Dr. Thomas Shiovitz has specialized in CNS research for over 10 years. He has been a Principal Investigator on scores of studies in all phases of development. Indications include: Alzheimer's Disease, Schizophrenia, Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Shiovitz, former Medical Director of California Clinical Trials Medical Group, has been a subinvestigator on over 100 studies. These results have been published in numerous scientific journals. Dr. Shiovitz has given presentations on Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's Disease and other topics.

Our Board Certified physicians/investigators work closely with our research coordinators to create a high quality recruitment, data, and research experience for patients and sponsors alike.
