The Center for Pharmaceutical Research (CPR) is a privately owned clinical research center specializing in Phase I, II, III, and IV clinical trials for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and medical device industries.
CPR has two primary missions, each equally important: to provide ethical, safe, cutting-edge medical care for our volunteers and high-quality, clean data to our sponsors with strict adherence to GCP guidelines. Our experienced staff consistently over-enrolls in trials in all patient populations including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
John E. Ervin, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.R. founded The Center for Pharmaceutical Research in 1986, and serves as the President, Medical Director, and Principal Investigator. The Center for Pharmaceutical Research was audited by the FDA in 1995 and 2010, with no findings and no 483’s issued. Since its inception, CPR has conducted more than 500 trials in most areas of multispecialty research including:

At The Center for Pharmaceutical Research, we realize that our subjects are volunteers and we treat them as honored guests. In an exit survey, our subjects indicate over 95% satisfaction with their previous studies and over 90% request to be considered for future studies. Our coordinators take time to know their subjects personally. As a result, volunteer retention is extremely high and previous participants refer many of our new study volunteers.
Our subsidiary, PharmAsyst, develops a recruitment plan for each study and pre-screens subjects by phone. PharmAsyst’s practiced expertise focuses our recruitment efforts and ensures efficient, effective use of the sponsor’s recruitment investment. As a result, The Center for Pharmaceutical Research consistently over-enrolls in most studies we conduct.
Our most effective subject recruitment tools include:
Research database of over 19,000 subjects
Private practice database of our sub-investigators in all specialties
Quarterly newsletter to databases
