Jackson M. Rhudy, MD: (Principal Investigator)
Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Jackson Rhudy is a graduate of UC Davis Medical School. He worked as an Emergency Room physician for 20 years, during which time he opened a successful Urgent Care Facility. He has served as Medical Director for multiple Utah based Medical Clinics and currently operates Light Touch Laser Skin Care Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
Dr. Rhudy is the Principal Investigator for Optimum Clinical Research. He has over 25 years of clinical research experience and understands the importance of Investigator involvement in the research process. He has earned a reputation in the industry for quality data and adherence to ethical standards and enthusiastically takes pride in the advancement of medical knowledge through clinical research.
Imran Zubair, MD: (Sub-Investigator)
Board Certified in Internal Medicine with Specialties including Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Internal Medicine, Dr. Zubair has been in practice for over 25 years. He is a graduate of University of Alabama Medical School and is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Utah. Dr. Zubair owns and operates Cardiovascular Consultants of Utah and has been an Attending Cardiologist since 1992 at local hospitals including: Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, LDS Hospital, Jordan Valley Hospital, and St. Mark’s Hospital. He is recognized for his research in Immunology, multiple publications, and Educational Honors. Dr. Zubair has over 3 years of experience in clinical research.
Marian E. Serra, MD: (Sub-Investigator)
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Serra graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Over the past 3 years, Dr. Serra has participated in over 33 clinical research studies in the following therapeutic areas: cardiovascular outcomes, chronic pain, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and osteoarthritis.
OCR’s dedicated research professionals maintain high standards for maintaining patient safety and capturing quality data. At OCR, we recognize that our Research Coordinators are the heart and soul of the study and thereby play a significant role in the success of the research study. Recruitment Coordinator: OCR has a dedicated recruitment coordinator who actively facilitates referrals from all of OCR’s affiliates. In addition, the recruitment coordinator ensures that OCR meets and exceeds ALL recruitment goals.
Quality Assurance Department: OCR’s quality assurance department is led by Sally Quinn, BS, CCRC. Ms. Quinn has extensive clinical knowledge gained from over 11 years of research experience that has contributed to her aptitude in skillful project management. Her competence lends OCR an advantage in producing high quality data and sustaining meticulous protocol adherence. In addition, the Quality Assurance department creates detailed and comprehensive site-specific source documents to assist the research coordinators in superior data collection.
