OCR is a dedicated clinical research facility located in Salt Lake City, Utah on the campus of the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. This excellent placement gives us access to multiple physician specialties. Our main site is an Internal Medicine Group with six physicians who serve as sub-investigators. OCR specializes in Phase II-IV clinical trials and has earned a reputation in the industry for meeting and exceeding enrollment goals.
At Optimum Clinical Research, we are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all areas of clinical research from patient care to data collection. We understand the growing importance of developing new pharmaceuticals and eagerly participate in facilitating this process with patients, sponsors, and CRO's. OCR offers a very accommodating professional office space on the campus of a large regional hospital within 15 minutes of Salt Lake International airport. A separate office space is reserved for monitoring visits with high speed internet access, phone, fax and windows! Jackson M. Rhudy, M.D.is OCR's owner and Principal Investigator. He worked as an Emergency Room physician for over 20 years during which time he opened up a successful Urgent Care facility. He has conducted clinical trials for the past 25 years in many areas, specializing in anti-infectives, cardiovascular, pulmonary, ENT, and gastrointestinal. OCR also works with 6 internal medicine doctors who act as our sub-investigators.
We employ several highly trained and motivated RNs, CCRCs, and
CRCs. All our employees are required to attend ACRP certification
programs and training classes.
Our subjects are recruited from our large clinic database,
physician referrals and advertisements.
The clinical database consists of over 40,000 patients:
