Amedica Research Institute, Inc.
Amedica Research Institute is a research center primarily for
Phase II, III and IV clinical trials involving children,
adolescents and adults. The Institute is centrally located in South
Florida, which allows easy access for our patient population. Aside
from research, our site is also associated with a busy group
clinical practice of pediatrics and a practice of child, adolescent
and adult psychiatry. This Center has been conducting clinical
research trials since early 2000 in a variety of medical conditions
and of drugs/compounds.

Amedica Research Institute is an outpatient facility located in
the center of the City of Hialeah (NorthWest of Miami-Dade County
in South Florida). Our two story building is at 103rd Street (49th
Street and Hialeah), 1 block west of Le Jeune Road. Walking, public
transportation and parking are very comfortable for our 3,000
patients. Le Jeune Road also links our Institute directly to the
Miami Airport creating an easy access for our CRA support.
Amedica Research Institute's Primary Investigators are
Marino Molina, MD, MBA, CPI who specializes in
Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry and Carmen A.
Molina, MD, FAAP who is Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Dr's Molina have been in practice since 1990 and have been
participating in clinical research trials since 2000. Dr. Marino
Molina is a Certified Principal Investigator and has been the
President of the South Florida Council of the American Academy of
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Carmen Molina has been
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatology at the University
of Miami.
Amedica Research Institute's staff includes Board Certified
Physicians, Physician Assistants, Clinical Research Coordinators,
Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Mental Health
Counselors, Medical Assistants and clerical support personnel.
Amedica Research Institute has access to a data base of more
than 3,000 pediatrics patients. Around 2/3 of our patients are
under 12 years old and equally distributed by gender. Since our
Institute is centrally located in an area of high density and low
income minority population, it is not difficult to obtain
volunteers for different trials.
Amedica Research Institute utilizes central institutional review
boards for regulatory issues, but is able to work with other ethics
committees contingent upon a sponsors needs or request.

The following trial(s) are actively recruiting patients:
- A 12-week, randomized, double blind, active-controlled, multi-center, phase IIIb study comparing the efficacy and evaluating the safety of an investigational medication in adult and adolescent Hispanic subjects with asthma.
- This is a prospective, open-label, multi-center, dose-optimization, Phase IIIb study designed to evaluate an investigational drug in children aged 6-12 who have been diagnosed with ADHD
- This is an international, multi-center, randomized, one-year (12 months), double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase II study with two parallel groups of patients with sleep maintenance insomnia.
